NASHVILLE, TN, UNITED STATES, On October 4th, 2022, Broadway veteran and Tony Award nominee, Laura Osnes, hosted a release party for her new EP, On The Other Side, at the Woolworth Theater in downtown Nashville. It was a magical night where Laura told her story of transitioning from the Broadway stage in New York City, to her new life and career direction in Nashville, TN. In both interviews with host, Chuck Wicks, and conversations with all of the songwriters on the project, Laura led the audience through the EP song by song, and everyone got an exclusive first listen to the music, the story of how each song came about, and a performance of the newest song Laura wrote with Jay Denton titled, “Every Piece”, which will release in 2023.

In Laura’s own words: Oct 2 marked exactly one year since landing in Nashville. Though it’s been the hardest, darkest year of my life, this past Tuesday, beauty arose from the ashes. We filled the Woolworth Theatre with friends & family to share my heart, my music, and my story in full for the first time since the fallout of last August.
I was so anxious leading up to this release, but the morning of, God showed up and made my spirit light. The love, warmth, and joy I felt in the room Oct 4 was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced… each person there, in one way or another, having carried me, stood by me, or provided a soft place to land this past year. Many of them, facing similar challenges, deserve to have their stories shared, too.
Thank you to all who showed up to listen and cheer in person (including the Woolworth Theatre staff & crew!); Thank you to those who supported and loved from afar. Thank you to everyone who has already downloaded & shared the album. To Chuck Wicks for sitting up there with me and creating the most safe & celebratory space; To my glorious co-writers Aaron Kellim, Aubrey Toone, and Jay Denton; Producer Jeremy Griffith & mastering engineer Jonathan Berlin; My rock-steady husband Nathan; Mastermind orchestrator of all things Chris Meek… Never could have ever made it to the other side without ALL of you.
I hope this music rings with hope and truth and reaches all the hearts that need it.
